Facilitation (in conductive pedagogy)
creation of such conditions for the child in which he could best solve the task assigned to him; An important rule for helping a child with a disability is the selection of individual methods of facilitation, the number of which should be minimal and gradually reduced. There are the following types of facilitation in the child’s activity:
1) Manual facilitation is used at the initial stage of mastering motor skills and when other types are ineffective;
2) Verbal facilitation – rhythmic verbal commentary, as well as a detailed description of each movement, “dismembering” it into parts;
3) Visual facilitation – demonstration of movement by a specialist or other people;
4) Use of special devices (a mug with two handles, etc.);
5) Collective, group methods of work – the child can receive the necessary social assistance; mastering actions in cooperation with someone and under guidance contributes to the development of independent performance of these actions.
