Family Acculturation
the process of interaction of cultures, during which family members (parents, children) adapt to a new cultural environment, while preserving their cultural identity. This can happen, for example, in the case of family migration or when interacting with the culture of the host country. The goal of acculturation is to achieve the integration of cultures, as a result of which a bicultural or multicultural family is formed. In modern science, acculturation is considered in two aspects:
1) Psychological aspect – achieving psychological satisfaction within the framework of a foreign culture;
2) Socio-cultural aspect – the ability to freely navigate in a new culture, successfully solve everyday problems in the family, at home, at work.
