Family conflict

a clash of interests, values, goals or needs between family members, arising from differences in views, distribution of resources, roles or emotional contradictions, and manifested in open or hidden forms of opposition. This is an integral part of any relationship, but the outcome of conflicts depends on how ready the family is to work with contradictions. The key is not to avoid conflicts, but to learn how to manage them so that they strengthen rather than destroy the family. A healthy family is not one where people do not quarrel, but one where they know how to conflict constructively.
