Family identity
a subjective feeling of belonging to a family group, which reflects the characteristics of the group and one’s functioning in it at the content (cognitive) and emotional-evaluative levels. The function of family identity is to maintain the integrity and stability of the family as a group. Subjectively, family identity can be reflected in the experience of sufficient or insufficient acceptance by the family, in involvement in family affairs or, on the contrary, detachment, in attaching high or low value to one’s family.
