Favorable characteristics of child-parent interaction
such features of child-parent interaction that contribute to the emotional and psychological well-being of the child, his comprehensive development. These most often include:
1) Responsiveness in the behavior of the parent: clarity, timeliness, affective-positive reaction to communication and play;
2) Ability to understand the needs of the child; parents’ faith in the child’s ability to be independent, proactive, responsible;
3) “Efficiency” of the mother – the mother’s readiness to give the child freedom of action and choice; acceptance of the child as he is; care and attention to the child: affective support, support for the child’s attention (see Unpleasant Characteristics of Child-Parent Interaction in Chapter 2.11.
