Figurative (sensual) obsessions
according to the classification of K. Jaspers, a type of obsession that causes emotional tension, subjectively difficult for a person to tolerate. The content of this type of obsessions is affectively charged, often extremely burdensome. Figurative obsessions include phobias, obsessive fears, ideas and memories, contrasting representations and blasphemous thoughts, as well as obsessive drives and actions (compulsions).
