Forms of cognitive political bias
Systematic deviations in thinking and information processing related to political views that affect the formation of political judgments and decision-making:
1) Bias in the interpretation of information: news or objective data is reinterpreted to bring it into line with pre-existing facts.
2) Choice of sources: the tendency to follow media outlets that support pre-existing beliefs and ignore sources with opposing information.
3) Strengthening stereotypes: strengthening the initial impression of various political parties and refusing to revise it despite new facts.
4) Resistance to change: difficulties in changing political beliefs.
