A type of apraxia that occurs when the frontal lobes are damaged, especially those motor areas that are responsible for planning and executing voluntary movements. Patients with frontal apraxia have difficulty performing goal-oriented, complex actions, even if they understand the task and can perform movements without mistakes when they do not need to be planned or organized.
