Fuld Memory Assessment Test
A neuropsychological technique designed to study memory, especially in the elderly, and is often used to screen for dementia. During the test, the experimenter places 10 familiar objects in an opaque bag. The subject, without looking, identifies each object by touch (tactile recognition), names it, and then tries to reproduce the list of objects during several training trials. The technique evaluates direct reproduction, the effectiveness of memorization and the preservation of memory. Thanks to the use of tactile and verbal coding, the test is also suitable for people with visual impairments.
