Functional balance between the left and right hemispheres of the brain (Semenovich)

focuses on the need for functional integration between the left and right hemispheres to ensure balanced development. Semenovich argued that the healthy development of a child depends on a balanced distribution of functions between the two hemispheres of the brain, with each hemisphere specializing in certain processes (the left hemisphere is usually responsible for speech and logic, and the right is responsible for spatial perception and emotions). Disruption of this balance can lead to difficulties in learning or emotional regulation. Therefore, training programs have been developed to enhance integration between the hemispheres through exercises that stimulate hand-eye coordination, hand interaction, and bilateral activity. This concept shows that neuropsychological development is not linear, but is based on dynamic harmony between several brain systems, and that any violation of this harmony is reflected in the child.
