The direction of psychosocial, pedagogical and professional rehabilitation by introducing to work with ornamental plants differs from agrotherapy, the latter uses the cultivation of vegetable and fruit crops, often with their subsequent processing. Such activities are directly related to the positive therapeutic effects of the earth and plants. It is used in the correction of behavioral and emotional disorders, in the recovery period after illnesses, as part of social and domestic adaptation. Gardenotherapy can be applied integratively with the use of music, art, bibliotherapy, photography, design, origami. The use of gardenotherapy in rehabilitation also gives positive results due to the fact that the product of activity has a specific visual result, which is directly dependent on the efforts invested by a person with a disability in his work.
