Graded Faces Test
A neuropsychological technique designed to assess a person’s ability to recognize and process faces, which is an important element of social cognitive function. During the test, participants are presented with faces that vary in complexity, ranging from simple and familiar faces to more complex and unfamiliar ones. The test assesses the ability to recognize facial features, emotions, and overall perception of faces, making it useful for diagnosing conditions such as prosopagnosia (face blindness) or other visual processing disorders. The test is also used to assess the impact of traumatic brain injuries, neurodegenerative diseases or cognitive impairment on facial recognition abilities.
