Group dynamics in training

This is the process of interaction between group members during joint work, which is characterized by changes that have occurred in the group during a given period of time. It includes communication, role assignment, conflict resolution, and the development of group norms. Group dynamics help the trainer to influence the processes that arise among the participants and use the energy of the group to achieve the goals of training. There are four stages of the development of group dynamics in training:1) Acquaintance – participants get to know each other, emotionally evaluate others and the situation. The task of the trainer is to voice the rules of work, introduce the participants, and create a comfortable environment for work.2) Distribution of intra-group roles – leaders appear in the group who activate the group, organize interaction in mini-groups. The task of the trainer is to use the increased energy of the group, to accelerate the dynamics (to increase the complexity of tasks, the speed of their completion).
3) Stable work of the group – maximum efficiency, when the whole group is focused on achieving the goal. Participants trust each other and are ready to cooperate. The task of the trainer is to maintain the performance of the group, disclose the most complex information, and give objective feedback.4) End of the group – participants sum up the results of the training, summarize the most valuable for themselves. The task of the trainer is to help each participant sum up the results of the work and highlight the most important things for themselves, collect feedback.
