Hedonistic well-being
The type of happiness or satisfaction that results from achieving states that bring pleasure and avoiding negative experiences. Pleasure can be bodily or, for example, from the achievement of goals. Proponents of the hedonistic approach believe that the meaning of happiness is to get the greatest amount of positive emotions at a given moment in time and not pay attention to negative factors, that is, to satisfy as many of your desires and needs as possible. Based on the hedonistic approach, a person’s path to psychological well-being lies through successful social adaptation – adaptation to specific life conditions and circumstances, the demands of the social environment.
