a state of consciousness, often artificial, in which the subject’s self-awareness of his physical condition is reduced or lost altogether. This mental state is often accompanied by a sense of the infinity of space, over-concentration, a distorted sense of time, and ease of action. The term is widely used to describe virtual reality immersion, installation art, and video games. The feeling of immersion in virtual reality can be described as the complete presence of virtual objects inside the suggested space, where everything related to this space necessarily presupposes its “reality”, and the subject seems to be completely disconnected from the external physical world. This digital entrapment can lead to digital addiction, in which a person becomes obsessed with certain content to the detriment of other aspects of their lives. Such a state can lead to a decrease in the level of real social interaction and an increase in feelings of isolation and anxiety due to the lack of balance in digital life.
