Impulsivity or indecision
A person may act hastily and recklessly, or, conversely, be excessively indecisive in making decisions. Impulsivity and indecision reflect disorders in behavior regulation and executive control, in which the brain is unable to calculate risks and benefits or process information to make good decisions.
1) In cases of impulsivity, a person acts quickly without thinking about what can lead to social problems or accidents.
2) In cases of indecision, the reaction may be delayed or time for critical decisions may be missed, making it difficult to achieve results and increasing anxiety and stress.
This mismatch in responses is a clear sign of a deficit in executive functions that control behavior and decision-making.
