Incoherent thinking
a gross violation of the sequence of thinking, characterized by a complete absence of logical and grammatical connections. The speech of patients is incoherent – a disordered set of individual words, as well as syllables and sounds. With a high degree of probability, the understanding of addressed speech is also impaired. Incoherent thinking indicates a gross impairment of brain activity, occurs in amentia (see Amentia in Chapter 4.1. Definition of Psychological Disorders and Appropriate Methods of Their Treatment).
