Interdisciplinary therapeutic intervention
A process based on the collaboration of medical, psychological, behavioral, and social professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. It includes psychiatrists, therapists, nutritionists, physical therapists, social workers, and psychologists. This intervention is aimed at the comprehensive treatment of the biological, psychological and social aspects of the disease and is based on the combined use of drug therapy, psychotherapy, behavior correction, social support, as well as educational and rehabilitation strategies. The goal is to provide comprehensive care that reduces physical and psychological symptoms and improves the patient’s ability to cope with stress and chronic health problems.
