Jacobson’s syndrome
Also known as imitative affective disorder – a rare psychiatric disorder in which patients imitate the emotions and reactions of others. often unconsciously. This can manifest itself in imitating the facial expressions and gestures of others.
Treatment: Treatment for Jacobson syndrome may include psychotherapy aimed at breaking down and managing these unconscious traditions. A therapist can help the patient develop more adaptive ways of expressing emotions and cognition.
