Latent racism

Racism that does not manifest itself openly or explicitly, but exists within the framework of policies, practices, rules or social attitudes, negatively affecting a particular group without any objective justification. It differs from direct racism in that it is implicit or implicit, manifesting itself in actions or decisions that at first glance appear neutral but have overt racist overtones. This type of racism is more difficult to detect and prove, as it often does not imply an explicit intent to discriminate, but is the result of cultural and social systems or institutional traditions that disproportionately affect different groups.
Examples of implicit racism are:
1) In jobs and organizations: Seemingly neutral hiring or promotion requirements favor a particular group due to education level or previous jobs that are difficult for other groups to access. Failing to advertise training opportunities or professional development programs so that they are available to all employees equally, inadvertently favoring a particular group. The vacation or vacation policy does not take into account the religious holidays of certain groups, which makes the work environment less favorable.
2) In education: University admission requirements that include activities or experiences that are not equally available to everyone, such as attending private schools or expensive support programs. Assessment tests or educational methodologies based on specific cultural or linguistic criteria, making them less fair to students from different backgrounds.
3) In society: urban planning or housing that focuses on certain areas and makes it difficult for certain groups to access basic services without an explicit intent to discriminate. Unequal media representation: Coverage of news or films that consistently portray a particular group in a negative, stereotypical way, without demonstrating superiority or positive ability.
4) In politics and legislation: laws that appear to be neutral, such as voter registration requirements or taxes, but affect some groups more than others due to specific social and economic conditions. Public funding and support aimed at specific areas without taking into account ethnic or social diversity.
