Level C in N.A. Bershtein’s theory of motion organization (spatial field level)
The level responsible for the organization of movements in space, provides orientation in space, is responsible for movements adapted to the spatial properties of objects (shape, position, length). The anatomical substrate includes the striatum and the motor cortex, the effector cells of which form the corticospinal (pyramidal) pathway, ending at the motor neurons of the spinal cord.
