Level E in N.A. Bershtein’s theory of motion organization (semantic level)
the highest level, which is responsible for planning and organizing actions in accordance with common goals and motivations (i.e., actions that are no longer united by an object, but by an abstract task or idea). This level includes speech movements, writing movements, symbolic/coded speech. Movements at this level are determined by abstract, verbal meaning. The anatomical substrate is not fully understood, but includes the frontal lobes of the cerebral cortex.
