Levels of professional aptitude

the degree of compliance of individual characteristics of a person with the requirements of professional activity. Traditionally, four levels are distinguished:
1) unsuitability – the presence of deviations in the state of health incompatible with the requirements of the profession; it can be temporary or permanent, insurmountable;
2) fitness for activity – in the absence of any contraindications;
3) compliance with a certain field of activity – there are no health contraindications and there are some personal qualities that indicate the possibility of choosing a certain profession;
4) calling a person to a specific type (types) of activity – the highest level of professional suitability, which is characterized by the presence of obvious signs of a person’s compliance with the requirements of activity.
Each level is characterized by a certain forecast of the success of training and further professional activity. Determination of the level of suitability is carried out on the basis of a comprehensive diagnosis of professionally important qualities. The level of professional suitability is the basis for making decisions on professional selection.
