Levels of traffic organization

levels of movement construction A, B, C, D and E, described in N.A. Bershtein’s Theory of Level Organization of Movements. As a rule, several levels are involved in the organization of complex movements: the one on which the movement is built (called the leading level) and all the lower levels (background). The leading level of the construction of the movement is determined by the meaning, or task, of the movement. It is possible to change the nature of the movement by changing its meaning for the performer. Each level is provided by the morphological structures of the spinal cord and brain. In human consciousness, only those components of movement that are built on the leading level are represented, the work of the background levels is usually not recognized. When organizing movement, the principle of sensory corrections is implemented – movement is constantly corrected on the basis of information coming from various sensory systems of the body, which allows you to adapt movement to changing environmental conditions and ensure its accuracy and efficiency.
