Unlike crises, liminal states often imply a conscious restructuring of life, a desire for something different, a natural stage of development, which is not necessarily associated with negative external factors. Liminal changes are those associated with a person’s personality, values, beliefs, ideas about himself and others. These changes have not yet taken hold, but they have already begun to take place.
