MBTI Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
method of psychological assessment in the format of a test. Its main task is to highlight the psychological characteristics of a person in the way he perceives the world and makes decisions. The MBTI typology was inspired by Carl Jung’s work Psychological Types, published in 1921. Despite the insufficient scientific substantiation, the system has become widespread in practice and commercially successful in Western countries. The original method was not conceived by the authors for self-testing. Alternative methods are used much more often for self-testing. The most popular test is David Keirsey (see Keirsey Temperameter Determinant).
