Multiple Drafts Model
A physicalist theory of consciousness based on cognitivism, which views the mind in terms of information processing. According to Dennett, multiple distributed networks in the brain produce information content in parallel. The content that has the greatest influence on other systems achieves “brain fame” and gets into our consciousness. He uses the metaphor of fame to emphasize that there is no point in time when a piece of information is recognized, not immediately, but only later.
