A person or group of people possesses more than one overlapping and diverse political identity, such as belonging to different parties, ideologies or nationalities at the same time. These multiple identities influence political decisions and sometimes create an internal conflict between different loyalties. However, they provide greater flexibility in understanding politics and adapting to political changes, as well as increasing people’s ability to maneuver between different positions without losing psychological and political harmony.
