Nuclear family

a family consisting of a married couple with or without children or one of the parents with their unmarried children. Relations between spouses (representatives of the same generation) are brought to the fore, and not relations between representatives of different generations (parents and children). The nuclear family is the basic “cell of society” that performs certain functions:
1) reproductive;
2) educational;
3) the function of socialization.
