Parental fatigue
a state of psycho-emotional and physical exhaustion associated with a long performance of parental duties and a high level of stress. In the context of health psychology, it is expressed in chronic fatigue, a decrease in emotional resources, a decrease in pleasure from communicating with a child, emotional distancing and a feeling of overload with the role of a parent. Parental fatigue can be accompanied by sleep disorders, decreased motivation, anxiety and a sense of hopelessness, which negatively affects the relationship with the child and the overall psychological well-being of the family.
