Parental grief
A type of grief that is a reaction to the death of a child, which is usually perceived as an unnatural event. Parental grief is experienced especially intensely and for a long time, as a rule, with strong feelings of indignation, protest, guilt and depression. The features of parental grief are:
1) A lot of collateral losses: the loss of a child leads to the loss of the object of attachment, parenthood, future, dreams, hopes, a part of oneself, family, motherhood;
2) High probability of developing post-traumatic conditions;
3) A tendency to devalue their own lives: parents who are faced with the loss of an adult child often feel a desire to die after him.
