Pedagogical neglect

a stable deviation from the norm in the consciousness and behavior of children and adolescents, formed by the negative influence of the environment and shortcomings in upbringing. Features of pedagogical neglect can manifest themselves clearly, but they can also be hidden behind outwardly prosperous behavior. A pedagogically neglected child is mentally and physically healthy, but does not have the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for normal life. Manifestations of pedagogical neglect:
1) Academic difficulties;
2) Behavioral problems: violation of rules and norms, rebelliousness, impulsivity;
3) Emotional difficulties: aggressiveness;
4) Difficulties in social interaction: difficulties in establishing and maintaining relationships.
