Perinatal culture

a set of worldview ideas and views of society on the processes of family planning, pregnancy, childbirth and infancy, which are expressed in existing customs and traditions. Perinatal culture can be different depending on the living conditions of a given society and the goals it pursues. It is a system of knowledge, skills, values and means necessary at the stage of preparation for conception, in the process of pregnancy, at the time of birth of a child and for further care of him during infancy (up to one year).
