Perinatal losses

cases of death of the fetus or newborn in the period from the 22nd week of pregnancy to 7 days after birth (early perinatal period). The classification of perinatal losses includes:
1) Antenatal mortality – in the period from 22 weeks to the onset of labor;
2) Intrapartum mortality – during childbirth;
3) Early neonatal mortality – up to 7 days after childbirth.
In some countries, perinatal losses also include untreatable infertility, the death of an adopted baby, ectopic pregnancies and other conditions.
