Personality Psychology
a branch of psychology that studies personality and its variations. The main goal is to identify psychological factors that affect individual differences. “Personality” is seen as a dynamic and organized set of characteristics that uniquely affect a person’s environment, cognitive abilities, emotions, motivation, and behavior in different situations. The study of personality includes numerous theoretical approaches: dispositional, psychodynamic, humanistic, biological, behaviorist, evolutionary, and social learning. An important place is occupied by empirical research and applied assessment of personality, which is especially important for psychodiagnostics, clinical practice and educational programs.
