Planning and organization disorders
a condition characterized by difficulties in organizing the thought process, making plans and performing tasks in an organized and consistent manner. This leads to frequent mistakes, delays in completing tasks, and an inability to manage complex or simple projects. The cause is often associated with a deficiency in the functions of the prefrontal cortex (responsible for executive functions) and neural networks responsible for regulating behavior and controlling higher mental functions. It is difficult for a child to estimate the time it takes to complete tasks, prioritize and use systematic strategies to solve problems. This deficit hinders learning, daily life and social adaptation. This requires therapeutic and educational interventions aimed at gradually developing planning and organizing skills using structured programs and differentiated training sessions.
