Practical application of immunology in medicine
clinical and cognitive research based on an understanding of the role of the immune system and its relationship to psychological and physical factors in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. It is known that immunity does not function in isolation, but is influenced by hormones, neurotransmitters and the psychological state of a person. This prompted doctors and scientists to integrate this knowledge into medical practice. One of the most important uses is the use of immunological tests for the early detection of immune disorders and the severity of inflammation or an overactive immune system, such as in autoimmune diseases. Immunological markers are also used to monitor the response of patients to drug therapy, for example, when using anticancer drugs. In addition, the principles of immunology are applied in psychosomatic therapy, where stress management techniques and cognitive behavioral therapy are used to increase immunity and the effectiveness of treatment.
