Predictive diagnostics
A modern and advanced approach in child neuropsychology that goes beyond identifying existing problems or disorders at the moment, but includes predicting the future trajectories of the child’s development at the cognitive, emotional and educational levels. This type of diagnosis is based on careful observation of early signs that may seem simple or not worrying at first glance, but are essential to assess potential difficulties or disorders in the future if action is not taken or early intervention is not carried out. For example, a slight delay in the development of working memory in a five-year-old may indicate the likelihood of problems with reading or arithmetic in the future when entering school. Thus, predictive diagnostics is aimed not only at interpreting the child’s current situation, but also at forming a proactive vision that allows you to develop preventive plans and early support programs that increase the child’s potential and reduce the risk of failure. The importance of this approach lies in its ability to transform diagnosis from a descriptive process to a dynamic, future-oriented process, giving therapists, teachers, and parents more opportunities to take a positive direction and prevent problems before they escalate.
