Principles of neuropsychological correction

a set of theoretical and practical foundations that determine approaches to the treatment of children with neuropsychological developmental disorders or delays. The goal is not simply to correct a deficit or impairment, but to provide tools to compensate for and develop abilities by using the child’s strengths to improve his or her weak functions. The focus of the correctional process is on the child’s own activities: play and interactive tasks are used as tools for the development of cognitive, motor and socio-psychological functions, with an emphasis on positive factors that stimulate the child’s personality, to strengthen self-confidence and the ability to learn independently.
