Psychological and Pedagogical Principles of Restorative Education
scientific foundations of neuropsychological rehabilitation of persons with disabilities and somatic diseases, in accordance with which the practical work of a neuropsychologist should be built:
1) The principle from simple to complex – the general pedagogical principle of training in restorative education should be subjected to a thorough analysis, since the formal complexity of the verbal material does not always coincide with the psychological complexity.
2) The principle of taking into account the volume and degree of diversity of the material assumes that the volume of the material should be “comfortable”, the work should be carried out on a small variety of material and with a small volume, and only after the relative restoration of this or that skill it can be increased.
3) The principle of taking into account the complexity of verbal material is taking into account the objective and subjective (for a given individual) frequency of vocabulary, phonetic complexity, and the length of the sound range.
4) The principle of taking into account the emotional complexity of the material – all the material used in working with the client (verbal and non-verbal) should create a favorable emotional background for classes, stimulate positive emotions. Although in some cases it is necessary to use material that evokes sharply negative emotions (only in accordance with the content and method of presenting the material).
