Psychological component of gestational dominant
restructuring of the psyche, when, with the participation of hormones, the focus of excitation in certain centers of the brain increases and persists, and at the same time inhibition in other parts of the central nervous system increases. As a result, a set of mechanisms of mental self-regulation appears, which form a woman’s attitude to her pregnancy and motherhood, and which is aimed at creating conditions for the bearing and development of the future child. This leads to the emergence of dominant stable emotional and behavioral schemes of response to environmental conditions, people and their behavior. There are 5 types of the psychological component of gestational dominant, which are determined by characteristic emotional and behavioral response schemes: optimal, hypogestognotic, euphoric, anxious and depressive.
