Psychodrama

a method of group psychotherapy developed by Moreno J., characterized by the acting out and modeling of situations stated by the patient (the protagonist). The protagonist chooses a theme and proposes a scene (from a real conflict to a fantasy or an inner dialogue), and group participants alternately act as actors and spectators. The goal of the protagonist is, through living through one’s story, to gain access to blocked feelings, new ways of responding, and understanding of oneself.
