Psychological environment
the internal and external environment in which a person lives, directly or indirectly influencing his emotional, mental and behavioral state. It covers a set of psychological and social conditions and factors that form the psychological climate with which a person interacts on a daily basis. It refers to the system that determines a person’s sense of security, comfort, emotional support, and ability to express themselves, as well as how they deal with the pressures, tensions, and conflicts they face in their lives. Moreover, the psychological environment is inseparable from other environments (social, family, cultural), since it is constantly under their influence and interacts with them. For example, a supportive family creates a positive psychological environment, while a stressful or conflicting work environment is considered a negative psychological environment that affects a person’s performance and mental health. Elements of the psychological environment:
1) Internal personality factors: such as personality traits, level of self-confidence, beliefs, values, past experiences, and coping strategies. These factors form the background through which a person interprets the events around him.
2) External factors: these are the social, family and professional environment with which the person interacts, including social support, the nature of human relationships, the level of fairness and mutual respect, and the working or learning environment.
