Psychological readiness for childbirth
A complex state of consciousness and personality of a pregnant woman, characterized by the formation of attitudes, emotional stability, practical skills and conscious motivation that allow her to actively and confidently participate in the birth process, effectively manage her condition and perceive childbirth as a natural process aimed at meeting the child. Psychological readiness for childbirth includes 3 components:
1) Motivational readiness – an adequate idea of the result of childbirth (the birth of a healthy child) and a conscious focus on achieving it;
2) Orientation basis of activity – an adequate understanding of the process of childbirth, your feelings, the actions of medical personnel and interaction with them;
3) Means of carrying out activities – knowledge and skills of a woman in behavior in childbirth, breathing and relaxation techniques, postures during contractions and other aspects.
