Psychological readiness for fatherhood
an integral characteristic of the personality, determined by the formation of all aspects of the personality, involving the fulfillment of the assigned duties and obligations; ideas about fatherhood, i.e. knowledge of the father’s functions in the family and his role in the upbringing of the child; assessment of one’s own readiness to become a father, readiness to take responsibility for the life and well-being of another person, a child. The determining factor in the formation of readiness for future fatherhood is the composition and educational environment of the parental family, which, through the formation of masculine/androgynous/feminine gender personality traits, affects the motivational and value sphere and lays down appropriate ideas about the future fatherly role.
