Quality of life

an integral substantive characteristic of the lifestyle of an individual or a social community, usually used when comparing them with other individuals and communities. The quality of life consists of a number of more specific indicators that record the state of various aspects, aspects and conditions of life, and can be characterized at three levels: society, social community, and personality. It reflects general satisfaction with life, satisfaction of the most important aspects of life and needs, confidence in the future, the presence of real prospects for social advancement and opportunities for the development of inclinations and abilities, full participation in the life of society. The level of subjective quality of life of a patient or a person with a disability is determined mainly by the severity of the somatic status and the concomitant deprivation of a number of individually significant needs that contribute to the formation of a state of chronic emotional dissatisfaction, which is regarded as a low level of quality of life. Subjective assessment of the quality of life is closely related to the state of the internal picture of the disease. Quality of life can serve as a generalizing criterion for the effectiveness of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities in dynamics.
