Quality of social support
the degree of appropriateness and effectiveness of social support provided to a person, and not only its volume or accessibility. That is, the main thing here is how useful the support is and corresponds to the real needs of a person. This is the subjectively perceived by a person of the adequacy, accessibility and usefulness of the help received from his social environment. The quality of support is characterized not so much by the number of contacts or the formal presence of helpers, but by satisfaction with the relationship, a sense of sincere care and the willingness of loved ones to be involved in solving problems. High quality support is directly associated with better psychological adaptation, greater stress resistance and a reduced risk of developing mental disorders.
