Reproductive choice
a decision regarding the birth or refusal to give birth to children in or out of wedlock, the methods of conception and birth of children, their number, time and place of birth, the intervals between births. The purpose of psychological counseling in this case is to help a woman or family make an informed decision. Issues of reproductive choice are actively studied in psychology. For example, the psychological characteristics of women with a crisis pregnancy in a situation of reproductive choice, the motives for maintaining pregnancy are being studied.
