Third, diagnosis requires a suitable assessment environment: calm, safe, free of distractions, with enough time to complete all tests so that the child can complete the tasks without stress and confusion. Fourth, cooperation between parents and the school is necessary, as they provide accurate information about the child’s daily behaviour, acquired skills and environmental conditions, which is necessary for a realistic interpretation of the results. Finally, a complete developmental history should be collected, including information about birth, sensory and motor development, language and social development, and previous educational experiences, so that the specialist can build a complete picture of the child’s developmental trajectory and identify any strengths and weaknesses that require specialized intervention.
