Retroactive inhibition (regressive inhibition)
the negative impact of the activity that followed memorization on the subsequent reproduction of learned information; is caused by integral nervous processes. The mechanism of inhibition is extreme inhibition or negative induction of nervous processes. The strength of inhibition increases:
1) with a high degree of similarity between the materials for memorization and the content of the activity that inhibits memorization;
2) when the activity is significantly “interesting”;
3) with its emotional saturation;
4) in case of increased requirements for energy consumption during its implementation.
